Kevin Whitacre of Idaho Falls, ID - July, 12 2011:
I was looking for a good size assisted opener that I could abuse. There are a lot of really knives out there, and some of them are expensive. I didn't want to spend a lot of money since the plans I had involved a lot of tough work. I made a really good decision! The S&W Swat knife has a great grip, and it might even be better when it gets wet. The sides have grip tape on them, and it's really easy to hold onto. To open the blade, all you have to do is push the blade release on the back of the knife and it swings out quickly. It's got a safety on the side if you're worried about it opening in your pocket. The blade is a little soft and doesn't hold an edge like some of the more expensive knives, but it's easy to sharpen on the Lansky Turn Box.
