Overview

Midland XT511 Base Camp Radio - The XT511 is the perfect communication tool for hunting camp or wherever you need high-power communication. The XT511 packs a full 5 watts of transmit power, which is the highest allowed by the FCC in a handheld radio. It's got the all 22 FRS/GMRS channels, and can talk to all other FRS/GMRS radios, regardless of the brand. The XT511 also features Weather Scan Technology, which scans the local NOAA Weather Radio channels for information, and it also receives Weather Alerts from NOAA to keep you informed of threatening weather in your area. The radio runs on 4 AA alkaline batteries plus the included NiMH rechargeable battery pack. Because you can't always get to an outlet, and outlets don't always work when you need them the most, Midland put a handy crank dynamo on the XT511. It lets you charge the batteries by cranking the handle, so you never have to worry about running out of power. 22 Channels Clear, crisp communication with easy button access
121 Privacy Codes - Gives you up to 3144 channel options to help you block other conversations
