This is a must have for the work bench. It holds firm and steady for whatever you need to do. Great for cleaning.Travis of Wasilla, AK - October, 17 2011:
I like the rotating heads and the way the clamp holds the stock. It could be just a bit longer, and it would have been nice if they would have designed it with "quick" clamps instead of having to spin the knobs in and out so much to accommodate different types of stocks. I would like it to have a larger tray with circular holders for solvent and gun oil, but its nice to be able to slide it back and forth to keep it out of the way. With the adapter you can clamp the forestock or the barrel this makes it nice for when you want to remove the action from the stock. If you plan on bolting it to your table they recommend only bolting the butt clamp end if you want to adjust the through.... well they really missed here its difficult to adjust. I put a 1/4 " shim under it and it helped some. I thought about making a couple of mounts for the forestock end to hold it up enough to allow that end to slide back and forth but i will need to get longer rods because it barley reaches past my rifles inc., light weight Strata's forestock. I don't want to sound like I don't like it because I do, Im just letting you know what I think would make it better.
