Cleaning brass by tumbling is the economical, safe first step in assembling quality handloads. Ensures long life for the most valuable component of your ammunition, your brass.
Clean, attractive brass should be the goal of every reloader. Cleaning brass by tumbling is the economical, safe first step in assembling quality handloads. Besides ensuring long life for the most valuable component of your ammunition, cleaning your brass will help reduce wear and tear on your expensive reloading dies, not to mention the chamber of your firearm. Grit and grime from uncleaned brass can become embedded in the inner surfaces of your sizing dies, scratching and marring every subsequent case. The same grime can be expected to accelerate wear in the chamber and feeding system of your rifle or handgun. Treated Walnut Hull Media is the most aggressive cleaning media you can buy for your tumbler

I picked up some Frankford Brass Cleaning Media on my way home from a trip to California and have used it a few times now. It's great value for the money. The powder is maybe a little bit fine and dusty, but it has still worked out just fine for me.DonM of Clearwater, FL - November, 22 2013:
Works great, very low dust.....does not wear out as quickly and does a better job than corn cob.Anthony of salem, OR - July, 11 2014:
this powder is great for a prep cleaning, When i first get used brass i dump it in the tumblr for a cleaning. It does good to remove carbon stains, Then I lube the cases and size and decap my shells. Only down fall is, is that it gets very Dusty.
