Bought this auger and on the third hole we were drilling the auger completely stopped spinning. The motor continued to run but would not turn the blade at all. Not sure what is wrong with it but would not recomend it.Jonathon of Arvada, CO - January, 02 2014:
I received this for Christmas and took it out for the first time and it worked flawlessly. After receiving this, the first thing i did was assemble, prime, and test the auger. Now that I was familiar with the machine, I felt confident enough to trust it to drill for the day and without fail, the auger punched a total of 20 holes that day. Not one hiccup in all those holes drilled. I treated my fuel with marine grade "Stabil" to pull out as much of the ethanol as possible and then added some "Seafoam" to assist in the cold weather starting.Brian of Johnstown, CO - January, 06 2014:
Was sick of drilling holes by hand or relying on a friend with a power auger, but didn't want to spend $500 to save my shoulder. Picked up the 33cc Eskimo 8" and it has been terrific! Started up 2nd pull out of the box. Has not taken more than a few pulls to start, even in very cold weather. Punches through ice at over an inch per seccond. Only criticism is the blade cover, the strap falls off constantly while trying to put it on. It does stay on once installed. Will likely upgrade that.Bryon of Oskaloosa, IA - January, 13 2014:
I just bought this auger a few days ago and i love it! Dont let the 33cc motor fool you this thing smokes the ice i was cutting thru 12 inches in under 10 seconds no bogging what so ever the quantum blades are awesome!. Very light and easy to use and fires right up. For the price you cant beat it buy one you wont be dissapointed! I have several eskimo products this is another great one!
